When I was asked to contribute a monthly column on current career-focused topics, one of the first things that came to mind has actually been “current” pretty much since job interviews began.
I’m talking about the interview question that people have struggled answering possibly more than any other: “Why should I hire you?”
Answering this the right way is a pretty tricky thing. You want to be honest, sell yourself, but not come off as cocky or arrogant. So how do you do it?
The key is being able to identify and articulate your own personal brand. Instead of reiterating everything I wrote in the column, I’ll link you to it here.
I hope you’ll read it, consider it, and then go after uncovering your brand.
And I also hope you have a very happy Memorial Day weekend!
